Our Story
North Star Oregon was established in 2020 by Justin and Amy Wallace, who brought 13 combined years of experience serving people with developmental disabilities. After years of experience in the field of caregiving, they recognized a pressing need for more comprehensive services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who were too often left in the margins.
The family observed a gap in the support systems, a void where care should be abundant. Their journey was not merely professional; it was personal. They cared for family members and friends with disabilities.
Launching in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, North Star Oregon quickly became a trusted resource for many. The organization expanded through strong community relationships and a commitment to person-centered care, and today serves clients throughout Oregon.

Our small agency provides support across Oregon, with services that help people realize their potential and lead a fulfilling life.
