Our Story
North Star Oregon was established in 2020 by Justin and Amy Wallace, who brought 13 combined years of experience serving people with developmental disabilities. After years of experience in the field of caregiving, they recognized a pressing need for more comprehensive services tailored to the intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals who so often were left in the margins.
The family observed a gap in the support systems, a void where care should be abundant. Their journey was not merely professional; it was personal. They cared for family members and friends with disabilities.
Launching in the midst of a challenging year, North Star Oregon quickly became a beacon of hope for many. The organization expanded through strong community relationships and a commitment to person-centered care, serving clients throughout Benton, Linn, Marion, and surrounding counties.
