  • Do you hire family members as DSP's?

Yes. We will hire family members to work with someone with exceptions. For instance, we cannot hire a parent or guardian as a DSP if the person is a minor. We also cannot hire a family member if they are also assigned as the designated representative for service planning. In most cases we offer unlimited overtime.

  • How big are the DSA groups sizes?

Typically they range from 5-10 people. We provide one staff to every 5 participants.

  • When are the DSA activities scheduled?

    We offer DSA Monday-Friday, 10 am-3 pm.

  • Do you offer transportation to and from the DSA pickup/drop off location?

It is case by case. Typically, we do not; however, we will make exceptions depending on where the person lives in proximity to the pickup/drop-off location.

  • Do you offer high medical or high behavioral support?

It is case by case. We are happy to staff any situation and brainstorm ideas to see if we can offer the support needed.

  • Do you offer solo DSA or 1.1 DSA?

It is case by case. Typically, we don't, but we can make exceptions depending on the situation. Please reach out if you would like to discuss this further.

  • Do you offer Respite Care?

Relief care (also called respite care) provides temporary support so that primary caregivers — often family members — can take a break. It can be provided in the individual's home or in a community setting. In Oregon, relief care is available to individuals receiving services through ODDS who have an unpaid primary caregiver. The amount of relief care available depends on the individual's ISP and assessed needs.
